ASIAN AMERICANS FOR EQUALITY: Established in 1974, Asian Americans for Equality, Inc. (AAFE) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization committed to community service and empowerment targeting immigrants, low-income families, and minorities throughout New York City. AAFE serves tens of thousands of seniors and low-income and working families each year, offering an array of programs that encompass the organization's comprehensive approach to community development, including: affordable housing development; small business assistance; homeownership; property management; services to emerging communities; housing, social, and legal services; access to technology; public policy and advocacy; and youth development and education. Today, AAFE is a nationally recognized community development organization serving New York City’s over 1 million residents of Asian descent.
Korean American Community Foundation (KACF): The Korean American Community Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that raises and distributes funds to social service organizations serving the Korean American community and beyond. To our supporters, we provide an opportunity to contribute back to the community. To our grantee organizations, we provide financial and other assistance. To the Korean American community, we create awareness of our social service needs and issues, and help cultivate a culture of giving. To the community at large and other communities, we build bridges.
National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (NCAPACD): The National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development is the first national advocacy organization dedicated to addressing the community development, organizing and advocacy needs of the diverse and rapidly growing Asian American and Pacific Islander communities nationwide. Its mission is to be a powerful voice for the unique community development needs of AAPI communities and to strengthen the capacity of community-based organizations to create neighborhoods of hope and opportunity. NCAPACD is a membership based network of local community based agencies that have been and are active players in various social and economic empowerment movements that came together after the Civil Rights era and developed through the War on Poverty initiatives.
