AAFE SERVICES

The Equality Fund was created to address the special needs of many people who have come through the doors of AAFE and have very little or no financial support or access to public or government resources. Through the creation of this fund, AAFE can continue to address their special needs and circumstances, and can continue to provide the unique multi-lingual services we currently offer. Specific examples of how the Equality Fund impacts lives:

Crisis Intervention: AAFE provides emergency assistance to victims of crime, fire, harassment and assault resulting from racial prejudice, and other disasters

Civil Rights Advocacy: Since 1974, AAFE has been fighting for equality and social justice, your contribution will help launch new initiatives, studies and forums that promote the rights of low-income, immigrant families.

Special Projects: In response to immediate needs in the communities we serve, AAFE will be able to start up new, innovate programs that do not fall under traditional modes of service delivery. For example, in the wake of 9-11, we made grants to small businesses in jeopardy of closing because they could not meet their payroll

Leadership Development: The future of the Asian American community lies in the hands of the next generation. The Equality Fund will be used to sponsor internships and fellowships for future advocates of the Asian American community.
