The following is a statement from Asian American Advancing Justice (AAJC). AAFE highly encourages you to take AAJC’s call to action and support comprehensive immigration reform!

Last month the Republican members in the U.S House of Representatives shared principles for immigration reform. But principles aren’t enough – immigrant families need the House to pass actual bills for fair and humane immigration reform!

We need a strong and clear message to the House that says America wants comprehensive immigration reform!  Save five minutes two to three days this week (between February 18-21) on your calendar and call your U.S. Representative and House Speaker Boehner.

In order for us to understand our community’s collective impact, please complete this short, simple confidential form each time you call. It only takes a few seconds, and remember your voice counts! Click here for the Call Report Form.

Call the Capitol switchboard: 202-224-3121
Ask for your Representative by name.
Then call back and ask for House Speaker Boehner’s office

Sample Script
“I am from [City, State] and I support comprehensive immigration reform with a clear path to citizenship that protects our family based immigration system, and protects due process and rejects enforcement-only measures such as profiling. The time for principles and statements is over – we need legislation and we need it now. I urge [Representative name/Speaker Boehner] to pass animmigration reform bill that is fair and compassionate in the House.”
