As part of its ongoing efforts to educate local residents about community issues, Asian Americans for Equality’s Housing & Community Services department hosted a crime prevention workshop at its 111 Division Street office this past Tuesday. ¬†Detective and Asian Community Liaison Sue Too spoke to the 20 audience members about recognizing potential scams and how to prevent oneself from being pickpocketed. ¬†In addition, she encouraged everyone to not be afraid to call 911 in an emergency and promoted NYPD’s language access services.
