AAFE’s 9th Annual Community Development Conference is coming up Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at NYU’s Kimmel Center.

Each year, Asian Americans for Equality convenes more than 250 policy makers, advocates, community leaders, philanthropists, and community development practitioners from across New York City and the country to discuss emerging issues facing Asian, Asian American, immigrant, and low-income communities.

The conference provides an opportunity for attendees to develop strategies, share tools and best practices, and join the dialogue to advance civic participation, civil rights, asset building, housing and economic development, and grassroots leadership within the diverse Asian / Asian American / immigrant community and to promote an equitable city for all those in need.

The theme of this year’s conference is Social Movement // Social Enterprise. Through this year’s theme, we will explore best practices and innovation in the tools, movements, and resources needed to build, sustain, and expand the impact of our communities’ journey toward a shared vision of equality and prosperity for all.
