AAFE’s Doris Koo Honored by State Comptroller

AAFE’s interim executive director, Doris Koo, was among those honored by State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli at his Lunar New Year celebration Feb. 8 at Queens Library.

The comptroller presented Koo with a proclamation which noted her decades-long commitment to creating affordable housing. After serving as AAFE’s founding executive director, she went on to lead Enterprise Community Partners and worked in various housing development positions in Seattle. This year, Koo has returned to AAFE to guide the transition to a new era of leadership following the retirement of former Executive Director Chris Kui.
