The countdown has begun for this year’s Asian American Community Development Conference.  AAFE and the Asian American Federation are co-hosting the conference at the Asia Society on the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 9.

As in years past, community development practitioners, elected officials, community members and academics will take part in engaging panel discussions and networking regarding issues critical to Asian American, immigrant and low-income communities. In the next several days, we will be announcing a full slate of speakers.

Conference panels will cover three main topics: (1) challenges posed by the growing gap between rich and poor in our communities; (2) the struggle for school diversity; (3) new strategies for civic activism in these tumultuous times.

The conference takes place from 1-5 p.m. at the Asia Society, 725 Park Avenue.  Click here to purchase tickets, or visit our Conference Page for more information.
