More than 120 youth and many professionals from a wide variety of fields participated in AAFE’s annual Career Conference at Flushing High School April 13, 2019.

It was a day filled with informational and inspirational speeches and lively breakout sessions. We would like to thank the professionals in our community who contributed their time and energy, offering local high school students invaluable advice about their futures. Among the vocations represented were: law and criminal justice, education and social work, business and management, the creative arts and healthcare.

AAFE’s career conference is a key activity of our Flushing-based youth programs, which provide immigrant students at three high schools with college counseling, service learning opportunities and youth leadership training.
