Across New York City, it’s been an incredibly difficult year, and low-income and immigrant communities have suffered disproportionally throughout the pandemic. During the holidays and heading into the harsh winter months, AAFE will be stepping up its aid programs in support of community members who need a little extra help during COVID-19.
On Friday, December 18 we have partnered with the Met Council and City Council Member Daniel Dromm for a free food and mask distribution event in Jackson Heights. We’ll be set up outside AAFE’s Jackson Heights office, 37-61 84th St. from 1-3 p.m., or as long as supplies last.
And on Saturday, December 19 we have teamed up with House of Good Deeds for a free community market in Chinatown/Lower East Side. A pop-up store will be set up on the 2nd floor of 2 Allen St. (at Division Street), offering food, home goods, clothing and toys for the holidays.
Please see the flyers for more details.
