    Our Vision

Our Vision is a world where low-Income, immigrant, youth of color are empowered in their communities.

    Our mission

We value the leadership of low-income and immigrant youth of color. We develop critically conscious and active social change agents by offering a supportive community, leadership development programming, and college and career counseling.

    Our programs

COMPASS HIGH
COMPASS High offers project-based learning opportunities to 9th and 10th grade students, engaging them over the school year in skill-building activities and nurturing youth interest with opportunities for student voice and activism. COMPASS offers transition support and counseling services to help students stay on track until the 10th grade. Learn more about the COMPASS program here.

CASTLE PROGRAM
AAFE CASTLE aims to empower high school students in the 11th and 12th grades to engage in service-learning projects and become agents of social change in their communities. Bi-weekly meetings (twice a week) aim to develop leadership skills and civic engagement experience. CASTLE youths also explore post-secondary options through workshops, college trips, and job shadowing. Learn more about the CASTLE program here.

CAREER COUNSELING
AAFE’S College Counselor works with high school students (9th to 12th grade) as they navigate the pathway to college. Through one on one meetings, Youth Leader support, workshops, and resource sharing, we offer students the information they need to guide them through the college process from applications, to financial aid, and commitment decisions.
