Join us for a special evening bringing together friends, partners, and changemakers who share our vision for an inclusive and equitable New York City for all. Our commitment to advocating for and empowering our city’s most vulnerable communities has never been more critical.

While we celebrate the impact we’ve made together and re-energize for the work ahead, guests will enjoy a festive and dynamic program that includes dinner, drinks, an honoree ceremony, live entertainment, and an exciting auction.

We invite you to be a key part of this celebration through our sponsorship opportunities. Your sponsorship not only helps make this event possible but also amplifies your role in creating positive change for our community.

Meet Our Honorees!

Help us celebrate two remarkable community champions.

Maria Torres-Springer

Maria Torres-Springer is a nationally recognized public servant and urban policy leader with over 25 years of experience across the government, philanthropic, private, and nonprofit sectors. As New York City’s First Deputy Mayor, she championed landmark housing reforms, achieved back-to-back affordable housing production records, historic investment in public housing, and helped the city recover the 1 million jobs lost during the pandemic. Her distinguished career also includes serving as Commissioner of NYC’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development, President and CEO of NYC’s Economic Development Corporation, Commissioner of  NYC’s Department of Small Business Services, and Co-Chair of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Transition Team. She now continues her commitment to equity as the President of the Charles H. Revson Foundation.

Helen Arteaga

Appointed as Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services in January 2026, Dr. Arteaga brings a esteemed record of public service to one of the city’s most critical roles. In 2021, she became the first woman and first Latina to serve as CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where she guided the hospital through the COVID-19 pandemic when Elmhurst became the epicenter of the global crisis in the United States.  Her community-centered leadership has had a direct and lasting impact on the northern Queens neighborhoods AAFE proudly serves. We have been honored to partner with Elmhurst Hospital in support of Queens residents, and we are grateful for her steadfast commitment to health equity and care for immigrant and working-class communities.
