Counseling services and programs for low-income tenants, immigrants, older adults and youth.

We believe everyone should have equitable access to government resources, affordable housing, education and economic opportunity. Through individual counseling, group training and community organizing, we support underserved communities citywide.

AAFE offers housing counseling and legal services to protect tenant rights, one-on-one assistance for entitlement benefits and affordable health care, immigration services, food access and health services for low-income seniors and college access and leadership opportunities for immigrant high school students.

AAFE encourages grassroots leadership by promoting civic engagement, volunteerism and educational programs to empower community members to become informed citizens and neighborhood leaders.

We serve communities stretching from Chinatown and the Lower East Side in Manhattan to Jackson Heights and Flushing, Queens and beyond. AAFE services are available in English, Chinese and Spanish.
